Another low stress project!
I’ve got an old Harley Benton with a maple neck and an alder with translucent finish body.
The body finish is really cheap and uneven and I don’t like its color so going to strip it to bare wood that seems nice enough to let it be natural.
Will do an oil finish.
Will make it a double humbucker guitar too, already have the bridge that should work well and a set of Epiphone humbuckers. Might keep the existing neck humbucker still, will need to decide on it later…
The neck is OK, just going to sand down the face and the back of the headstock as these otherwise would be the the only glossy surfaces that would be left on the guitar and this will look weird.
